MISS UNIVERSE AUSTRALIA NATIONAL FINAL 2017

Thursday June 29 saw the 2017 Miss Universe Australia event of the year hosted at Sofitel Melbourne on Collins – The National Final.

 Hosted by Olivia Wells and Ash Williams, guests enjoyed an entertaining evening, including live saxophone and a stellar choreographed opening number by 32 National Finalists from every state and territory, in Midnight Swimwear and Elroy Eyewear from esher.com.au.

 Esther.com.au also dressed the finalists in gorgeous cocktail dresses for their introductions, this was followed by the girls hitting the stage in Midnight Swimwear bikini sets for the swimwear section. The always elegant gown parade followed, with the finalists taking to the catwalk in Australia designers Jadore, One Night Stand, Begitta and Steph Audino.

 All 32 contestants looked incredible on stage thanks to the teams from Bondi Sands, Bodyography, Sumita Australia, Kolorz and Klawz, DNA Organics and Pure Smile Australia.

 Backstage all of the contestants gathered in support and excitement for one another as the crowning ceremony drew closer and the night progressed.

South Australian Olivia Rogers was crowned Miss Universe Australia 2017 – the first winner from South Australia in 20 years! 27-year old Georgie Mitchell from NSW was awarded first runner up.

 A huge congratulations and heartfelt thank you goes to all of the Australian Finalists who performed not only on but off the catwalk throughout the entire 2017 program. It was a night and experience that all of the contestants will remember for the rest of their lives.
